But Drugs are so Much Cheaper in Canada!

Canada's health minister Wednesday announced he's looking into legislation that would ban the bulk export of prescription drugs to the United States and other countries.
"Canada cannot be the drugstore for the United States," Health Minister Ujjal Dosanjh told reporters at a news conference.
Anyone who has a basic understanding of economics knows that drug reimportation can't work on a large scale. Canada gets cheap drugs because they negotiate prices with the drug companies. The drug companies aren't going to play along with this if a large percentage of their drugs just get shipped right back to the U.S.
