Why I'm Going To Feel A Bit Nauseous When I Vote For McCain

- Why should oil companies have to participate in alternative energy? If they want to, they will. If they don't want to, what exactly is he going to do? Force them?
- Oil companies do share their profits. It's called dividends to shareholders. It's called increased shareholder value. What McCain wants, is to transfer money from the shareholders of oil companies to other people.
- Yeah people are upset about gas prices. But is emotion an effective method of government?

I'm hoping he appoints a VP who is strong with economics and just leaves all that to them. I was thinking about this and figure it's a great idea - a President needs to only make decisions at critical times in regards to war, defense, etc. McCain would probably be good for that. Everything that has to do with long-term policy (such as economics) rarely needs a President to make the decision. That stuff he could leave to someone who knows what they're doing. No?
